However, there are areas in our body that are dark like our elbows , knees etc due to various reasons .
Vaseline I feel does wonder for such areas and helps you to lighten such dark areas . Give yourself a month before you start seeing results.
Please, use this product only on your body and not on your face.
Let me knows how this works for you guys.

How to take care of your skin during the festival of Holi
Holi – the festival of colors.
We Indians take our festivals pretty seriously (pun intended
). Holi for me while growing up has been associated with 3 things ; Food (
still remember the awesome sweets my grandmother used to prepare) , fun & freedom(
as our final terms used to get over around that time ). However for many years
I have shied away from playing the actual messy Holi (the one that involves dry and
wet colors of all varieties and takes
ages to go away ) the reason being my super sensitive skin .But, after discovering and following a particular skincare regime that can lessen the damage caused by the strong colors ,I have started enjoying Holi the way it should be enjoyed with actual colors.

Points to remember before you step out of your house :
- The most important thing is to cover your car seats with polythene or plastic sheets , trust me this ensures that post holi you only need to work on yourself and not on your car.
- Same applies to your cell phones or cameras (which should be avoided if possible). Cover them with polythene or plastic sheets.
- Apply a generous layer of mustard oil on your entire body (not just the exposed parts), oil your hair like there is no tomorrow. You can use coconut oil, castor oil or any other oil that works for you.
- Trim your nails as short as possible, apply any dark color nail paint to protect the nails.
- You can also cover your head with a scarf and if that’s not comfortable then tie your hair in a bun to protect it .
- Avoid wearing contact lenses, choose spectacles or sunglasses .
- Wear synthetic clothes that don’t absorb water or weigh you down.
- People who have sensitive eyes can carry eye drops (example Refresh Tears).
Points to remember post holi :
- Make sure that you have an ample amount of warm/hot water for your shower as this helps to relax your body.
- Stand under the shower for good 5-10 minutes before you apply any soap or shower gel. Don’t over apply the shower gel .
- Rinse your hair extremely well with water before you shampoo it and again remember that it may take 3-4 washes for the color to come off so be patient. Follow with your regular hair mask or conditioner to add moisture. You can also apply curd pack to your hair the next day to add shine and moisture
- The color takes its sweet time and you can’t get rid of it one go.
- No matter the amount of color on your body, don’t scrub .As,your skin as is already sensitive because of the color and scrubbing can cause damage.
- After 4-5 hours of your shower you can massage your face with some cleansing milk and remove the same with a cotton swab dipped in rose water to get rid of the left over color .
- For your face you can try either of the 2 home remedies. Make a paste out of Bengal gram flour (besan) , fresh cream ( malai) and curd and apply this for 10 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. Alternatively, you can soak some Pink lentil (masoor dal ) in milk and make paste and apply that on your face and rinse with lukewarm water . Both these packs add moisture to your skin and also lighten the left over color on your face.
- As the colors are very drying in nature , moisturize you body with a thick cream or lotion in generous quantity.
- Do not use bleach or wax on your body for atleast 3 days.
Here's, wishing everyone a very happy and safe Holi. Remember
that the festival of Holi marks the end of the evil and the victory of good. So , let this
be the time where you let go of all your fears , inhibitions or anything in
life that’s holds you back and welcome the good that life has to offer you

DIY - How to add radiance to your face and shrink those pores.
Tip of the Day :
How to add radiance to your face and shrink those pores.
Take about 5 teaspoons of powdered peas , 3 teaspoons of sour curd , 5 drops lemon juice , some mashed papaya and mix this together by adding some organic rose water ( please don’t use perfumed rose water) it’s better to use water if pure rose water is not available.
Apply this to your clean face for good 20 minutes and wash it off with cold water. Make sure that you keep a spray bottle filled with regular water in your fridge and spray that on your face after taking of this pack. Cold water when used from a spray bottle not only cools down our cells but add that glow to your face and the best part is that its so relaxing and rejuvenating .

Tip of the Day - DIY Sunscreen
Tip of the Day :
DIY Sunscreen.
My skin is super sensitive towards the sun hence I avoid stepping out in the sun as much as possible , which I am sure is not an option for lot of people.
For some reasons sunscreens have never worked for me and I have felt that most of them clog my pores. This however may not hold true for many of us as we all swear by our sunscreens.
So now I prefer to make my own sunscreen which was a hit and trial thingy for me but lucky me it worked awesomely well . Mix aloe vera gel and lacto calamine lotion together apply this to the exposed body parts . Give it like some 5 mins to get completely absorbed. I also powder my face after this during summers as it prevent sweat and add another layer of protection on my skin.

Lotus Rejuvina Professional Herbcomplex Protective lotion’s Review
Hey you lovely people, Today I would be reviewing one of my all time Favorite product.
I am blessed with sensitive skin :) prone to redness. I consider myself very lucky to have been introduced
to this product some 5 years back and I haven’t come across something that’s even
close to it.
This lotion is like genie in a bottle and grants a lot of
your beauty wishes. I am sure that we all swear by our sunscreen and can’t do
without them, but with this particular product I have not been using sunscreen separately.
It’s a natural way to use as a base and can serve as a replacement for BB
creams and Foundation especially during summertime and oily skinned beauties can use some pressed/loose powder on top. However, it doesn't cover or conceal any under eye dark circles , flaws or pigmentation marks etc. It smells like the normal regular lacto
calamine lotion. Consistency is similar to any other lotion
I use this everyday and also use it under my foundation. It really takes care of skin rashes or inflammation of any kind. This is my go to product especially in summers as it provides a cooling effect and controls redness caused by skin's exposure to sun etc.

Himalaya Herbals Anti-Hair Fall Hair Oil Review
Himalaya
Anti- hair fall Oil
Once upon a time, I used to have thick, gorgeous and lustrous
hair. But, then things changed over a period of time due to erratic food
schedule and sleeping patterns and also thanks to my hostel life and expensive
hair colors treatments that I indulged in. This phase lasted for a few
years, till recently, when I discovered this magic potion called Himalaya Anti- hair fall oil.
I bought this on a whim,as I thought that this one like the other Anti -hair fall oils might just be a marketing gimmick .
But, I am glad to say that I was proved wrong. This product actually works (yes
it does).
The best thing is that this oil has been tried not only
by me but my sister-in-law and my sister as well. I can safely say that it did not
let anyone down. However, it works best if you leave it overnight.
Quantity
and price: 100 ml for Rs.100
200 ml for Rs 180

What's I dislike about the product :
What's I dislike about the product :
Honestly , its one of those products that doesn't disappoint you at all.
There is a common myth among people that oiling your hair can cause hair fall. This is, however not true unless you really pull and tug at your hair while you oil them. Another, important thing to remember here is that it’s your scalp that needs the oil not your hair and massaging your scalp is necessary to get the best results. Its important to massage your scalp for good 20 minutes to improve blood circulation and promote hair growth .

How Makeup can change your life
Makeup is one of the most potent tools available. I am
not joking when I say that. It really has the power to transform you. I am sure
we all have grown up being obsessed with our mom's Vanity Kit (I know I was). I
just couldn't wait to go to college and start using makeup. Though back in my
college days our two best friends used to be kohl and lip gloss. However, today
our exposure to makeup products has increased manifold and it’s not limited a
couple of things.
Coming to how can make up transform you. Quoting Calvin
Klien "The best thing is to look natural, but it takes makeup to look
natural”. Nothing works as effectively as a makeup in adding oomph to your
personality. I have always associated makeup brushes with Magic wands as both
of them have a similar function of granting your wishes. Makeup gives you the
confidence (we all can do with an extra dose of that). It has also been
associated with making women feel good about themselves and when we feel good
we look good.
Makeup like any other art form is about exploring and
expressing your creativity. There is a lot that you can achieve by letting go
of any inner inhibitions and experimenting. Not all of us are blessed with
flawless skin, but the same can be achieved with makeup. Nothing says glamour the way red lipstick
does. Concealer on any given day if used correctly can be your best friend.
Playing up with different styles of eyeliner can alter your eye shape and
leaving your house without 3 coats of mascara should definitely be considered a
crime :)
Also, in today’s time the professional products which
were previously used by models and Bollywood divas only are now accessible more
easily. Thanks to online shopping and social networking sites we are now equipped
with better products , creative ideas and that gives us the freedom to do more.
It had the ability to metamorphise you from a girl next
door to a red carpet diva. So, go ahead and let makeup work its magic on you.
Play with colors to understand what is best for you .But remember the most
important rule “Less is more” and this applies to all areas of life not just makeup.
Experiment, Create, Flaunt
Wish you a day full of "More Beautiful You"
& don't forget to flaunt your Best Asset, Your Priceless Smile!
